Skillventory Portal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 October 2026

This policy explains how Skillventory collects and handles personal information when you use app.skillventory.com, including Google sign-in, recruitment and hiring-drive services, staff tools, and the grievance portal.

At a glance
  • Google sign-in is used only to identify you and secure access to the portal.
  • Candidate information is used to administer recruitment and related services.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.

1. Who we are

Skillventory is a talent research and recruitment services firm and owns and operates the Skillventory Portal. In this policy, “Skillventory”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Skillventory. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@skillventory.com.

2. Google Sign-In data

Sign in with Google is optional where another login method is offered. If you choose it, the Skillventory Portal requests only the minimum basic identity information needed to authenticate you: the openid, email, and profile permissions.

Data accessed
Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status, name, profile picture, and hosted-domain information when applicable. We never receive your Google password.
How it is used
To verify your identity, create or link your Skillventory Portal account, prefill your verified email, maintain a secure session, and enforce candidate or authorized-staff access controls.
How it is stored
The account identifier and available basic profile fields are stored in our application database. A random session credential is stored in a secure, HTTP-only browser cookie; the server stores only a cryptographic hash of that session credential.
When it is shared
We do not sell Google user data or share it for advertising. Your verified email may be included in a recruitment application or grievance you choose to submit and may then be shared with the hiring client or authorized partner identified on that service. Basic profile fields are otherwise shared only with service providers supporting authentication, hosting, security, and storage, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Google identity information is retained only while reasonably necessary to operate and secure your portal account and meet legitimate legal or audit requirements. You can request deletion using the process in section 8 below. Disconnecting Google access stops future authorization but does not by itself delete applications or grievances you separately submitted.

This login does not request permission to read or modify Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other private Google Account content. It does not perform actions in your Google Account.

3. Other information we collect

Information you submit

Depending on the service you use, we may collect contact details, resumes, education and employment information, application answers, assessment and hiring status, identity and eligibility documents, bank or reimbursement details, accommodation or travel preferences, grievance content, attachments, and communications with our support team. Required fields are identified in the relevant form.

Technical and usage information

We may process IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, security and audit logs, session-cookie data, page and campaign-attribution information, and anti-abuse signals. Cloudflare Turnstile may process device and interaction information to distinguish legitimate activity from abuse.

4. How we use information

  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect candidate and staff-only areas.
  • Create, review, update, and administer job applications and hiring-drive activities.
  • Evaluate eligibility and communicate application, assessment, interview, or onboarding updates.
  • Receive, investigate, and respond to grievances and support requests.
  • Prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot the portal, maintain audit records, and improve reliability.
  • Meet contractual, regulatory, legal, and record-keeping obligations.

Google Account information is used only for these disclosed authentication and account-management purposes. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. When we share information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • the employer, hiring client, or authorized recruitment partner identified on the application or hiring-drive page;
  • service providers that support hosting, storage, databases, document handling, email delivery, authentication, security, analytics, and support, subject to appropriate safeguards;
  • our authorized personnel who require access for recruitment, support, security, or compliance;
  • government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information or permit third parties to use Google sign-in data for advertising.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the recruitment drive, service, grievance, security, audit, contractual, or legal purpose for which it was collected. Retention periods may differ by hiring client and record type. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or securely archive it as permitted by law.

Portal authentication sessions are normally issued for up to seven days. Signing out ends use of the browser session cookie, although account, application, and audit records may remain under the retention rules described above.

7. Cookies and security

We use essential cookies to maintain authenticated sessions and security. We apply technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, token validation, encrypted transport, and activity logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their accounts and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a grievance about our handling of your information. Email info@skillventory.com from the address associated with your account and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

You may also disconnect Skillventory from your Google Account permissions. This prevents future Google sign-in authorization but does not automatically delete records that Skillventory must retain or that you previously submitted directly to the portal.

9. International processing and children

Service providers may process information in locations outside your state or country, subject to applicable safeguards. This portal is intended for adults and eligible employment candidates and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information improperly, contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or data practices. We will publish the revised version here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the portal or by email when appropriate.
